Westminster law firm and parliamentary agent Winckworth Sherwood is splitting off its healthcare group, as the head of the practice leaves to set up a new outfit.
The firm decided to close down healthcare in order to concentrate on its core clients. Simon Eastwood head of the group at Winckworth Sherwood, is establishing his own practice with a team of lawyers.
Roger Fitton, managing partner at Winckworth Sherwood, said: “We have taken a hard look as the healthcare practice and came to the conclusion that it was not an economic fit and was not relevant to the client sectors on which the firm is built.
“We are continuing to invest in specific commercial, property litigation and employment projects consistent with our main activities and medium term goals.”
