Flexible bonuses each year, based on the firm hitting a target in May, and calculated as percentage of salary. Reward bonus in June for all, and net fee-earner bonuses paid immediately in response to remarkable work.
Onsite and external training, covering both personal development skills and black letter law. Piloting a business planning phase and all assistants are encouraged to be involved.
Team leaders are appraised annually by section heads; partners are appraised by both section heads and a board member.
Twenty-three per cent of partners are home-grown. The youngest-ever partner was 30 years old.

Flexible hours policy designed for returning parents and remote/home workers. Part-time work offered at all levels. Holiday entitlements begin at 22 days and rise to 27; partners and directors get 30 days. An additional five days unpaid leave for all.
Life cover for all, long-term disability insurance cover, money behind the bar each week. Pensions contributions are a 7 per cent payment after one year’s service, minimum contribution 3 per cent.
