Head of the firm’s technology team Tony Bailes told The Lawyer: “George has more experience [working with] government – he’ll give us access to work there.”

Wheeler-Carmichael comes from the technology, media and commercial group at DLA Piper. His client base there included both the public and the private sector – from purchasers of IT services and systems to information services and technology companies.
His expertise includes working on large IT projects, on IT and business processes, outsourcing arrangements and system procurements, as well as drafting and negotiating contracts.
His hire marks Nabarro’s drive to grow its existing technology practice from the current two core IT and communications partners comprising Bailes, who handles projects and disputes, and regulatory and competition partner Robert Bell.
