Burges Salmon hires head of best practice

Burges Salmon has appointed Emma Davies to the newly-created role of head of best practice.

The position will combine responsibilities for company compliance and efficiency.

“It is about achieving compliance in such a way that it introduces best practice standards across the firm,” Davies said.

The Bristol-based firm said Davies would work to ensure the firm is compliant with the Legal Services Board compliance procedures, which will be introduced when the Legal Services Act is implemented.

Davies joins the firm from Hamptons Estates in London, where she looked after the company’s regulatory issues.
