One UK lawyer had the shock of his life when he walked into the office of a star partner in New York.

Said partner had not one, but two screens on her desk. The first showed the usual set of spreadsheets, documents and pointless firm intranets. But as the partner jogged her mouse, the second screen lit up – showing what appeared to be a series of grainy CCTV angles.

It turns out that she had installed webcams in every single room of her house to watch the nanny in secret.

Tulkinghorn is all for vetting employees, but suggests the odd trip home may be more cost-effective.
