Maxwell Batley has launched a specialist motorsport business unit as part of a wider move to target particular business sectors.
The unit is headed by litigation partner Ian Timlin, and includes corporate partner Fraser McColl and emp-loyment partner Philip Wood.
Timlin has been involved in the motorsport industry for some time and his clients include F1 and F3 drivers, driver management body Grand Prix Marketing, manufacturer Lola Cars l, racetrack Mond-ello Park and motorsport insurer Fairmont OAMPS.
“We’ve decided to launch sector focuses where we’ve got good existing clients in a bid to raise our profile in those sectors,” said Timlin.
A second business unit, focusing on the hotels and leisure sector, is to be launched within the next month, and the firm is also looking at units in property finance and construction.
