RBS Greenwich Capital, the institutional fixed income subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland, has strengthened its legal and compliance department in the US with the hire of a Linklaters lawyer.
Pia Friis joins as senior vice-president and associate general counsel.
She will provide legal support for the firm’s credit markets business, focusing on structured credit products and credit derivatives.
Friis was previously a senior associate in Linklaters’ New York-based capital markets team and has also worked at Sidley Austin and Danish firm Bech-Brunn Dragsted.
RBS Greenwich has also added Suprio Chaudhuri as a managing director and associate general counsel in the firm’s regulatory team.
Chaudhuri joins from Charles Schwab & Co, where he was vice-president and chief compliance counsel.
