Shearman & Sterling has promoted 13 to the partnership across its global network.

The New York headquarters has received the most promotions at three, while in London the firm made up capital markets counsel Michael Benjamin and project development and finance lawyer Benjamin Shorten to the partnership. Last year the firm promoted two in London.

European promotions dropped by two from five in 2006 to three this year with two in Germany and one in Rome.

Last year the firm made up 14 in total, five of which were in the US. This year the firm promoted six in its US offices.

Shearman has also grown the partnership in Asia and the Middle East with one promotion in the Hong Kong office and one in Abu Dhabi.
