CEDR kicks off mediation audit

The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) has launched its biennial audit into commercial mediation, the only review of its kind in the UK.

The previous audit, held in 2005, found that the mediation market has grown by 35 per cent to 2,700 mediations a year.

The statistics also showed that in 2005 there were 70 full-time mediators in the UK earning £170,000 from mediation annually.

Both the number of mediators and earnings are expected to rise.

The audit is an anonymous online survey at www.cedr.com that is open to all mediators and lawyers.
