Capsticks advises NHS trust on private deal

London firm Capsticks is advising Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust on the development of one of the first wholly private funded NHS surgeries.
The firm said it competed against Eversheds, Mills & Reeve and Addleshaw Booth & Co for the project.
The deal involves creating the £16m PFI ambulatory care and diagnostic centre (Acad). It will cover non-emergency operations at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.
PFI partner Colin Lynch believes the Acad deal will set a trend. “This is an area that is going to expand and we wanted to be involved from the beginning,” he said.
Lynch's team comprised property partner Susan Durey and PFI assistant Paul Webster, who prepared the public procurement documents and the Official Journal of European Communities notice.
