This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Personal injury powerhouse Irwin Mitchell has matched last year’s partner promotions with seven promoted to the partnership.
The firm's rapid expansion over the past 12 months, with mergers with clinical negligence firm Alexander Harris and Scottish law firm Golds, means the partnership will increase to 105 partners from 1 May.
The new partners will span across most of Irwin Mitchell's practice areas, with two in personal injury, and public law, insurance, commercial, tax and property each adding one partner.
The firm is also moving its business model to align itself with the changing legal marketplace that has come about as a result of the Clementi and Carter reforms.
With this in mind, Irwin Mitchell has promoted non-lawyers to the equivalent of partner level positions for its director and associate director roles.
The firm promoted four non-lawyers to partner equivalent level of associate director, matching last year’s number, bringing the total number of directors and associate directors to 35.
