Irwin Mitchell h a s poached Howard Kennedy corporate partner Andrew Woolf.
Woolf joins the firm’s London corporate team after four years with Howard Kennedy.
Head of Irwin Mitchell’s business and private client group Peter Wylde said: “Andrew has the right mix of entrepreneurial flair and legal expertise to complement our corporate team in London and nationally.”
The hire brings the partner count in the corporate practice to 10 across its London and Yorkshire offices.
Woolf, who has experience of working in-house at Capita Group and Credo Corporate Finance, will focus on M&A, management buyouts and public and private company capital raisings.
It is a rare lateral appointment for Irwin Mitchell, which last made an external hire last September, bringing in head of family for the North West Elizabeth Tait from Stephensons Solicitors.
