Irish firm William Fry has appointed Myra Garrett to succeed Brendan Cahill as managing partner.

Garrett currently leads the firm’s corporate practice, where she has been a partner for 15 years. Cahill will return to the corporate group when he steps down in October.
Garrett is a member of the Irish Stock Exchange consultative panel on equities and a member of the panel of nominated legal advisors to the Irish Institute of Directors. She is also a director of the Irish Road Safety Authority.
She said: “I am delighted and honoured to have been selected by my partners to lead William Fry, the Firm where I trained and have spent my entire legal career.”
