IP boutique Hoyng Monegier adds Nauta Dutilh partner to ranks

Niche IP firm Hoyng Monegier has hired a team of lawyers from Benelux giant Nauta Dutilh.

Liesbeth Weynants, formerly head of Nauta Dutilh’s life sciences and data protection team in Brussels, joins Hoyng Monegier’s Brussels office.

The appointment comes less than a week after Nauta Dutilh announced it was launching a Luxembourg IP practice to complement its existing Dutch and Belgian capabilities (14 October 2011).

Hoyng Monegier managing partner Willem Hoyng said Weynants’ focus on regulatory work would give the firm “an additional edge” over competitors.

Weynants is Hoyng Monegier’s 20th partner. The firm was launched in January this year by a team of partners splitting away from US firm Howrey, which later collapsed (11 October 2010).
