Olswang trainee solicitor and computer specialist Clive Gringras has written what is claimed to be the first in-depth legal text book on the application of UK law to the Internet. The Laws of the Internet is published by Butterworths and includes a glossary of Net jargon. It follows a rash of Internet related cases in UK courts and considers what rules can be developed by analogy from existing law to regulate the new area. Gringras has previously advised New Scotland Yard on computer crime, written articles for computer magazines and presented papers on Internet law.
