Insurance company Arthur J Gallagher has reshuffled its legal and compliance team with two executive promotions.
Head of compliance Sarah Dalgarno has been promoted to the board and will act as chief risk officer. Chief counsel Alissa Pfitzner takes on the newly created role of company secretary.
Dalgarno will now oversee all Financial Services Authority-related activities alongside regulatory and compliance issues. Pfitzner, who had been in the role of corporate counsel for 18 months prior to her promotion, is now in charge of all legal issues.
A spokesperson for the company said that in light of the increasingly complex and sophisticated issues surrounding the sector, the company would be looking to grow and add to its talent in the legal and compliance groups.
A replacement for Dalgarno's role as compliance head has not yet been identified.
The company operates as both Gallagher Global Risks and Gallagher Re, the reinsurance treaty arm.
