Insolvency boost for Pannones

Manchester-based Pannone & Partners is boosting its insolvency department with two new partners.

Although Pannone's managing partner, Joy Kingsley, admits: “I could lie and say we went out looking for insolvency partners but we didn't. However, we are very pleased with both of them.”

Alex Megaw is joining from the Manchester office of Davies Wallis Foyster, while Daniel Izza is making the move down from Preston's Birchall Blackburn.

Although Megaw, who has been with DWF for four years, carries out some insolvency work, he is primarily a commercial litigation specialist and says he is making the move because he is unsure in what direction DWF is taking that area of the business.

“The firm and I have grown apart in what we see as the future for litigation,” he admits. “The attraction for me in moving to Pannones is that they have got a silent squad in commercial litigation, in that they are not really very well known outside the Manchester area.”
