Inchcape’s UK office has appointed two new members to its executive committee, including Claire Chapman from Reuters, who joins as general counsel and group company secretary.
Chapman joins the international automotive distributor and retailer from Reuters, replacing Roy Williams, who retires after 30 years of service.
Chapman, who qualified at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, will head up day to day legal issues and all company secretariat matters for the group from 1 July.
André Lacroix, Inchcape chief executive, said: ”Claire and her team will be an important cornerstone in the international growth programme of expanding our business with core brand partners in existing, developing and developed markets.”
Inchcape, which has operations in Australia, Belgium, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK, has also hired group human resources director Tony George from Vodafone. Previously, he worked as senior vice president of human resources for Starbucks Coffee International’s US base.
