Ince & Co's London office has picked up six of the seven firmwide partnership promotions following a barren round this time last year.
The six City senior associates - the seventh being in Shanghai - will by made up on 1 May, which will result in the partnership's size increasing to 78.
Three of the new appointments have worked in the maritime and insurance industries before following a career in the law, while others have undertaken secondments. All but one began their legal careers at the firm.
The London promotions are marine insurance and reinsurance senior associates Iain Anderson, Johanna Ewen, Christian Dwyer and Michelle Linderman in shipping, and Charles Lockwood and Will Marshall in energy.
The new partner in Shanghai will by shipping specialist Kevin Cooper.
Senior partner Peter Rogan said the senior associates had an "excellent grasp of commercial reality" due to their previous experience.
“Each of these individuals demonstrates the high level of knowledge and commitment that our clients expect, which will enable them to play an important role in developing our global business,” said Rogan.
