Linklaters is understood to have maintained the position following the latest review, despite Vodafone turning to Slaughters to lead the $130bn sale of its 45 per cent stake of Verizon Wireless to Verizon (2 September 2013).
The mammoth acquisition was the third-largest M&A transaction in history, and the world’s second-largest cross-border corporate transaction.
It involved the largest bond issuance ever, the largest break fee of all time and the largest return of value to shareholders ever seen in the UK.
