Ah January, the time to take a punt at something new. As in-house lawyers across the globe write their 2014 tick-list, nowhere does it seem more fitting to flip the proverbial gambling chip than at online betting site Betfair.
So here we go – Betfair’s legal director Justin Hubble has left the gambling company just months after company secretary Martin Cruddace resigned. Both have kept their poker face on about where they’re going next, so we don’t know if it’s Viva Las Vegas or bingo on the menu next.
Either way, it looks like the pair have decided now is time for a new game - together they’ve invested almost 20 years into the business, having placed their bets on the site when it was just a few years old.
No doubt they’ll play their cards right.
