Also on the panel are chambers 1 Crown Office Row – specifically barristers Philip Havers QC, Robert Kellar, Alasdair Henderson and Karwan Eskerie - and 11 King’s Bench Walk.
A spokesman for the LSB said: “We’re pleased that during this process, we’ve been able to attract a number of high calibre applicants which demonstrable experience in the public and regulatory sectors.
“We believe the appointees to the panel will be able to assist the LSB in delivering its work programme by offering high-quality services representing value for money.”
Applicants could submit bids to provide advice in four areas: advice and assistance in public law and private law, legislative drafting and litigation support.
Those on the reshaped panel will agree costs for their services on a case by case basis with LSB legal director Nick Glockling and legal advisor Jessica Clay. The LSB has 30 staff and a £4.5m annual budget to cover all operational costs.
The LSB has said that in the past work on which external legal support has been sought typically has been of a value below £5,000 and that any request has to represent “good value for money”.
