In brief: Women of the Year lunch for top solicitors

Janet Gaymer, head of employment law at city firm Simmons & Simmons, and Patricia Dilley, leader of a residential conveyancing team at Midlands firm Freeth Cartwright Hunt Dickins, have been invited to next week's prestigious Women of the Year lunch at London's Savoy hotel. Gaymer recently won The Times 1997 Woman of Achievement in the Law award.
