Taylor Joynson Garrett (TJG), is being sued for up to £300,000 by a former client music publisher MCI. In a High Court writ, the company claims TJG signed a settlement agreement on its behalf without consulting it which contained terms of which it was unaware. The company had been the third defendant in a copyright action and claims the settlement means it will have to pay the other parties' costs, which could be as much as £300,000. A TJG spokesman said: "We shall be defending this claim vigorously."
