The Association of Solicitor Investment Managers (ASIM) has elected Lawrence Graham partner Tim Thornton Jones as vice chairman. He was a director of ASIM for a year and then its treasurer for two years. Thornton Jones says the whole regulatory framework will change when the Financial Services Authority which begins work next year. He says: "ASIM is working to ensure that clients who choose the one-stop approach to having their investment and legal affairs managed by solicitors' firms are able to do so with no reduction in the standards."
