In brief: Shoosmiths appoints commercial head

Shoosmiths & Harrison, which has offices stretching from Southampton to Nottingham, has recruited Booth & Co's Nick Hancock to head its commercial litigation department. Hancock went to Booths in Leeds in 1992 after training and working at City firm Linklaters & Paines for five and a half years. He will be based in Shoosmiths' Southampton office. He specialises in trading disputes and has a particular interest in multi-jurisdictional work.
