In brief: SCL makes computing award

Link, the electronic legal information service from Legalease, won the Society for Computers & Law 1994 IT Award last week. The two other finalists were the Open Law Document Listing software from Oxford Law and Computing and Stafford University Law School's training programs on evidence and advocacy. The judges were impressed by the quality and level of the 30 entrants, says former SCL chair James Mackintosh, who was one of the four on the judging panel. The award was presented by the society's president Mr Justice Brooke.
