In brief: Review legal system, says McCulloch

The president of the Law Society of Scotland, Grant McCulloch, has called for a radical review of the Scottish legal system. In an article in the current issue of the Journal of the Law Society of Scotland, McCulloch, who is soon to stand down as the society's president, says a raft of recent legislation affecting the Scottish legal system has failed to address its inefficiencies. “It is far too important to be tinkered with and therefore what is required is a wide ranging and radical review,” he says.
