In brief: Randall quits Law Society after 10 years

John Randall, director of professional standards at the Law Society, has announced he is leaving the society where he worked for 10 years, to take up an appointment as chief executive of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. Tony Girling, Law Society president, paid tribute to the way Randall "raised standards" within the profession.
