In brief: Pensions group appoints new chair

The Association of Pension Lawyers has appointed a Freshfields partner as its new chair for a two-year term. Ken Dierden has been a member of the main committee of APL for six years and was previously chair of its legislative and parliamentary sub committee. He was elected to his new post at the association AGM earlier this month and takes over from Stuart James, a Rowe & Maw partner. Vivian Cockerell, Derek Sloan and Andrew White, partners at Wragge & Co, Allen & Overy and Rowe & Maw respectively were elected to the committee.
