Chris Atkinson, property partner with Yorkshire firm Gordons Wright & Wright, has been elected as the new president of the Bradford law society. Atkinson assumed the role at the end of last week. He plans to address professional concerns about the fragmentation of legal aid firms and the cost of residential conveyancing in high street practices. His deputy for the year is Bernadette Livesey, a solicitor at Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
