Herbert Smith corporate banking partner Richard Hughes is to leave the firm to join Linklaters. Hughes would not comment on the move, but it is understood that he is negotiating to reduce his 12-month notice period.

Construction law partner Jonathan Hawkswell has left Dibb Lupton Alsop’s Sheffield office to join Pinsent Curtis in Leeds. He will be charged with developing Pinsents’ construction practice. Hawkswell said: “There is the experience and resource here to represent clients in resolving their disputes commercially and effectively.”
