In brief: Linklaters partner count reaches 212

Linklaters has made up 25 new partners, bringing its total to 212. They include three new recruits who were partners in rival firms. Insolvency partner Tony Bugg was poached from Dibb Lupton Alsop last October, where he headed the insolvency practice; securities specialist Richard Hughes was recruited from Herbert Smith; and Piphob Veraphong, made a Bangkok local partner, will join from Baker & McKenzie in the summer. Sixteen of the new partners are in London, four in Paris and one each in New York, Hong Kong, Moscow, Bangkok and Singapore.
