In brief: Geldard retires as senior partner

Robin Geldard, well known in the Welsh business and commerce community, is retiring from the senior partner post of leading Welsh firm Edwards Geldard. He is being replaced by Rod Thurman, who joined the firm in 1976 after several years in the City and, before that, some time as a lecturer at the University of Zambia. Geldard, who joined the firm in 1952, is the honorary Japanese consul for Wales and currently national president of the Associated British Chambers of Commerce.
