In brief: Four line up for Bar vice-chairmanship

Four candidates have put their names forward to stand for the vice-chairmanship of the Bar Council. As predicted by The Lawyer two weeks ago, Nigel Pascoe QC, Daniel Brennan QC, Julian Malins QC and Johnathan Hirst QC are all standing. Douglas Day QC, the fifth contender predicted by The Lawyer, said he had contemplated standing but decided against it. Ballots have already been sent out and the winner will be announced on 16 October.
