This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
A consortium including UK national firm Eversheds has won a European Commission contract to assist the new state of Lithuania harmonise its laws with the European Union in preparation for membership. The contract, which was tendered Europe-wide, was won by Eversheds, French consultancy Sodeteg and a German trust, Deutsche Stiftung fur Internale Rechtliche Zusammenarbeit EV, set up by the Ministry of Justice for specifically this type of project. The project, worth ECU3m (approximately £2.2m), starts this month and will last 18 months. An Eversheds lawyer will be posted in Lithuania as the resident project coordinator, along with lawyers from the firm's Brussels and London offices. Eversheds and its consortium partners will provide legal experts to form a combined team of 30 to 40 lawyers.
