Edward Lewis partners failed to oust chairman Tony Collins last week following allegations of sex discrimination by three different members of staff (The Lawyer, 13 September). Jeremy Rutter was expected to be elected the new chairman of the London firm, but insiders say partners balked when it came to making a decision because Collins is considering legal action. Collins vigorously denies the accusations.
