In brief: Cardiff Law School joins premier league

Lecturers at Cardiff Law School are celebrating a grade five research award rating. The grade five rating, the highest possible, is two grades better than the last assessment the school received in 1993 and puts Cardiff in the same league as Cambridge and Oxford universities. The research assessment exercise takes place every four years and plays a significant part in determining research income from the Higher Education Funding councils. The overall top five universities are Cambridge, Oxford, King's College London, University College London, and the London School of Economics.
