Technology, media and telecoms boutique iLaw has hired Osborne Clarke’s former managing and senior partner Leslie Perrin.
Perrin is to join the firm as a director and will focus on commercial litigation. iLaw director and co-founder Justin Ellis said: “He’s come in for three purposes. First, to establish his own litigation practice. Second, to help us with business development. And third, to help us on a strategic basis.”
Perrin was managing partner at Osborne Clarke from 1994 to 2003 and served as senior partner from 2003 to 2006. Since then he has been active in the third-party litigation funding market and remains a non-executive director of DAS Legal Expenses Insurance.
iLaw was established in September 2006 and operates a business model whereby all fee-earners have the opportunity to be rewarded on the basis of the work they generate.
The firm has three founding shareholder directors (the equivalent of equity partners) and four other senior lawyers (the equivalent of salaried partners at other firms).
