Winners Announced!

If the law is a people business, then managing your people is paramount. Last year, The Lawyer launched the first ever awards dedicated to HR and people management. Our aim - to celebrate excellence in the effective deployment of HR strategy - was a resounding success. After all, the profile and importance of HR professionals in the legal profession has never been higher. Talent - finding it, keeping it, managing it - has become critical to the success of every law firm and legal department in the country.

The award categories are designed to reflect the full range of HR activity from trainee recruitment through to effective retention. Entries will be welcome from law firms, in-house legal departments, local government organisations, recruitment consultants and advertising agencies. As with The Lawyer Awards we will not be charging for entries, but would ask you to make a donation to one or both of our chosen charities.

The awards were presented to the winners at a black-tie dinner on Tuesday 12th February 2008 at the London Hilton on Park lane.
