Bonuses Annual bonuses are determined by individual contribution to the financial performance of the firm.
Training Each department has its own departmental training on black letter law. Combination of legal update meetings and specific sessions on individual topics. Assistants encouraged to attend relevant external courses. Business skills development programme, including personal, client and financial skills.
Appraisals Annual appraisals consist of an appraisal form completed by assistant and considered by supervisor during appraisal meeting. In advance of appraisals the partners and supervisors receive training and HR support. No 360° system, but there is an upwards appraisal process at partner level.
Partner progression Seventy-five per cent of partners are home-grown and there are 21 current lateral partners. Youngest partner 28.
Billable hours target 1,575.
