Salary range NQ – London £42,000; NQ – regions £31,000.
Bonuses Performance-related bonuses awarded annually, valued at up to 20 per cent of base salary.
Training Structured training provided in conjunction with universities and leading law schools.
Appraisals Annual formal appraisals. Assistants are encouraged to express their views through monthly team meetings, a firm suggestion scheme, attitude surveys and regular focus groups. The firm is piloting upwards feedback of partners.
Partner progression One-third of partners are home-grown. Youngest partner 31. Partner applicants complete a business case presentation, a personality profile and a panel interview.
Billable hours target 1,440 billable hours per year for assistants and partners.
Flexible and part-time working Offered.
Holiday entitlement Twenty-four days holiday for assistants, with an additional day after three, four and five years’ service, rising to 30 days after 20 years’ service.
