Hewlett-Packard (HP) has appointed long-term external adviser Michael Holston as general counsel. Holston, a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius, is replacing Ann Baskins, who quit last September. Holston had been an external adviser to HP for more than a decade and joins as the embattled technology company looks to put the pretexting scandal behind it. He will also serve on HP's executive council leadership team.
