Howes Percival wins a spot on Camelot panel

Howes Percival has landed a place on National Lottery operator Camelot’s winners’ advisory panel, alongside a clutch of leading regional firms.

The firm’s pitch was led by partner Jane Cowley, who joined the firm in April from rival Harvey Ingram and now heads both the family law and East Midlands private client teams.

Other members of the panel include Brabners Chaffe Street, Browne Jacobson, DWF, HBJ Gateley Wareing, Hill Dickinson, Macfarlanes, Martineau Johnson, Mills & Reeve and Shakespeare Putsman.

The firms are placed on standby to meet all winners of more than £50,000.

Cowley said: “This is a huge endorsement for the firm. The panel includes a number of experts with excellent reputations.”

Another partner commented: “You have to do a lot of upfront work with no guarantee you’ll get work at the end of it. I understand that some firms find that difficult and that’s why there’s a bit of chopping and changing.”
