Howard Kennedy is launching a media litigation practice with the hire of two partners from Olswang.
Susan Aslan and Sue Charles will join the west end firm on Monday (6 March). The pair have worked together for around 20 years and joined Olswang from DJ Freeman in 2003.
Howard Kennedy already has a litigation capability and a wide-ranging media practice which acts for film, TV, music and theatre clients. Until now, however, it has no focused media litigation strength.
Aslan said the move was “a great opportunity to start something new.”
The pair, who are best known for defamation matters but also advise on privacy and copyright infringement, will join the team headed by Brian Eagles.
Olswang chief exectutive Jonathan Golstein said he was sad to see the two go and wished them well.
