This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Howard Kennedy has recorded a small drop in turnover in the last financial year, with the firm bringing in £18.5m, down 2.6 per cent on the previous year's figure
The firm said the figure met the predicted budget for the year. Average profits per partner were £240,000, with top of equity making £425,000 and partners at the bottom of equity taking home £160,000. As would be expected, property was the biggest earner for the firm, with property investment and property finance the top billing groups. Last year, major deals included advising long-term client London & Regional on the purchase of a £614m property portfolio from Woolworths. The firm also appointed partner Andrea Nicholls from Speechly Bircham to launch an employment department, which has focused mainly on the airline sector.
