Howard Kennedy has recruited Mayer Brown’s London head of property litigation. Michele Freyne joins as a partner and will be in charge of Howard Kennedy’s four-partner property litigation practice.
She was a partner at Mayer Brown since 1984 and ran the litigation department between 1990 and 1993. Howard Kennedy head of litigation Craig Emden said: “We’ll see real benefits from Michele’s extensive experience and client relationship skills.”
The firm’s management has expressed a desire to expand in recession-defying practices such as litigation and energy. In March 2008 Howard Kennedy merged with London energy boutique DMA Legal.
