House of Lords cases

Judgment is pending in the House of Lords for the case of Regina v H which will focus on contaminated evidence and the admissibility of evidence in sex cases. Newspaper law is also to be thrown under the House of Lords spotlight in the case of Charleston and another v News Group Newspapers and another. The Law Lords will be asked to define whether a headline and photographs or photographs and captions are capable of bearing a defamatory meaning on their own, irrespective of the text accompanying below them.
