| There are many firms in The Lawyer Rising 50
looking for aggressive growth, but none more so
than the South West’s Thring Townsend. And in
managing partner Thomas Sheppard the firm has a
suitably ambitious leader.
Although still small in revenue terms, £13.9m
Thring Townsend is not content to remain a hidden
gem. Under Sheppard’s guidance it acquired the
Bristol office of Laytons last October, has attracted a
string of quality lawyers with City experience and
most recently flagged up its ambitions to launch in
the capital.
