Former Allen & Overy (A&O) partner Simon Gleeson
should be feeling pretty pleased with himself: it is no
mean feat to be Clifford Chance’s first London
banking lateral hire in the past six years.
Financial services specialist Gleeson swapped
magic circle firms after eight years at A&O,
during which time he forged strong relationships
with clients such as Citigroup and Goldman
Sachs.
Described by his peers as “exceptional”, Gleeson
brings to Clifford Chance his specialist expertise in
financial regulatory matters, particularly on retail
structured products.
Previously Gleeson has worked on creating
a new regulatory regime for the Dubai
International Financial Centre and assisted with
the preparation of the new market abuse regime
in the UK. |
